The Chará Inn

Chará was founded in the beautiful island of Santorini, Greece, in 1975 by the lovely couple, Dimitris and Maria Papadopoulos. Dimitris and Maria had always dreamed of creating a place where couples could come and experience the beauty and romance of Greece. They wanted to offer a unique experience that would leave a lasting impression on their guests.

When they first opened Chará, it was a small inn with just a few rooms. However, Dimitris and Maria poured all their love and passion into the inn, and it quickly became a popular destination for couples from all over the world. The inn's success was due in part to the couple's warm hospitality, their attention to detail, and their commitment to providing their guests with an unforgettable experience.

Over the years, Chará continued to grow and evolve. In the 1980s, the inn underwent a major renovation, and more rooms were added to accommodate the growing number of guests. In the 1990s, Chará expanded its services to include a restaurant and a spa, offering guests even more ways to relax and enjoy their stay.

Today, Chará is still family-owned and operated, with Dimitris and Maria's son, Nikolas, at the helm. Nikolas grew up helping his parents run the inn and learned the importance of hospitality and attention to detail. He has continued to build on his parents' legacy, making sure that every guest feels like they are part of the family.

Chará is now one of the most popular inns in Santorini, known for its breathtaking views, warm hospitality, and romantic atmosphere. It continues to be a favorite destination for couples looking for a truly unforgettable experience in Greece.
